چکیده
In this study, a newly developed nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) recovery process using membrane contactor termed NPHarvest was tested with different liquid waste streams in large-scale trials. Ammonia captured ammonium sulfate form hydrophobic membrane, while precipitated as sludge alkali precipitation coagulation processes. The were selected to cover the potential for included two mesophilic digester reject waters, landfill leachate, separately collected urine. pilot hydraulic loads range of 12–133 L/h. Nitrogen efficiency reached maximum 92.5% water ammonia flux 481.1 mg/L.h obtained urine stream. A mass transfer coefficient calculated four wastewater approaches, resulting value ranges order 10−3 10−7 m/s. It found that decreased increase initial concentration. varied between 79% 97%. quality evaluated by employing comprehensive tests vegetative cells coliphages, harmful metals, organic micropollutant measurements. These measurements confirmed meets Finnish legislation requirements agricultural use. use diluted acid wash proven be sufficient maintaining surface properties observed insignificant loss hydrophobicity mild development fouling. Finally, competitiveness compared existing processes through detailed cost analysis.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water
abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
Comment on the Newly Developed Consciousness Assessment Scale; AVPU Plus
I read with interest a recent paper in your journal, in which three consciousness assessment scales were compared in poisoned patients and finally a new scale "AVPU plus" was proposed (1). The study was very interesting with a worthy objective. I would like to admire the authors for exploring how the Alert/Verbal/Painful/Unresponsive (AVPU) responsive scale corresponds with the Glasgow Coma Sca...
متن کاملModel based process analysis and scale-up in membrane chromatography
Membrane chromatography (MC) is gaining wider acceptance in downstream processing of biopharmaceuticals. MC offers the advantage of higher operational flow-rates and thus, provides an attractive alternative to traditionally employed packed bed chromatography. With increased commercial usage, in-depth understanding of different mechanisms within MC capsules is desirable in order to achieve optim...
متن کاملfabrication of new ion sensitive field effect transistors (isfet) based on modification of junction-fet for analysis of hydronium, potassium and hydrazinium ions
a novel and ultra low cost isfet electrode and measurement system was designed for isfet application and detection of hydronium, hydrazinium and potassium ions. also, a measuring setup containing appropriate circuits, suitable analyzer (advantech board), de noise reduction elements, cooling system and pc was used for controlling the isfet electrode and various characteristic measurements. the t...
response articles: micro and macro analysis
the present study reports an analysis of response articles in four different disciplines in the social sciences, i.e., linguistics, english for specific purposes (esp), accounting, and psychology. the study has three phases: micro analysis, macro analysis, and e-mail interview. the results of the micro analysis indicate that a three-level linguistic pattern is used by the writers in order to cr...
